You have to

read this article just to see the disgusting behaviour of a supposed 'church', and the tactics that they and their goons employ...

Scientology's Oklahoma Nemesis, Bob Lobsinger: "They Lied Every Step of the Way"

Are those people mentioned here members of their 'OSA' office or are they licensed private investigators? If the first, their tactics are understandable. If the second, they should be investigated for their actions...

I hope, for her sake, that it is true

Lisa Marie Presley Signals A Break With Scientology

If it is true it may be her best career move in a long time. The cult doesn't let go of its members, particularly the ones who are cash cows, easily. I hope she doesn't have too much damaging information in her PC Folder. They've used that sort of thing to threaten people with before, despite assurances that it is confidential...

So,

because he has been critical of election irregularities and possible fraud in Malasia, a newspaper (with who knows what connections to the ruling party, or what they may have been pressured to do by a certain criminal cult) essentially sets Senator Xenophon up for a terrorist attack by deliberately changing a speech critical of a criminally-convicted cult to be critical of Islam. This was really no accident.

Security fears for Xenophon over religious misunderstanding

I fear that once you get a group of extremists riled up it's impossible to stop them all from acting violently. I think a nice lawsuit would fit perfectly here, and would allow him to find out who instigated it. If a certain cult had a hand in it, well...

Lets join in

with Tony Ortega at The Village Voice in wishing a Happy Birthday to a reasonably well known individual (and certifiable drug addict and, well, nutcase):

Happy Birthday, L. Ron Hubbard! Here's Our Surprise Gift For Scientology's Founder

(Mr. Ortega, I borrowed your image. I apologize, but it was just so suitable to the occasion...)

They've always lied about their history

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2012/02/scientology_and_4.php

An academic takes a good look at the relationship between Scientology and the occult...

More of the same

Minister criticises Scientology campaign

The cult of Scientology created this 'commission' specifically to target psychology and psychiatry for abusive campaigns and acts that may even be criminal, simply because years ago the medical people in this field refused to accept Hubbard's teachings as the solution for all humankind's problems. It doesn't even solve their own problems. They spend all their time attacking other people and trying to convince people to believe them (For a price. Always for a price.). And so the battle continues to this day...

This is so terrible...

Scientology's Disgrace: An Open Letter To Tom Cruise

I know that most, if not all, the people who read my blog don't share my feelings about this cult, and probably even skip any posts about them after all this time. Still, if you knew of a criminal enterprise doing the same things this group, under the guise of religion, does, wouldn't you be outraged? Wouldn't you be wondering where the police and courts are?

As more and more things come out to show that their system is not only wrong, it's cruel, and that their leader is demented and sadistic, more and more people should be getting concerned about them. People's lives are being ruined, and it really is such a sad, terrible thing that people are ignoring it...

Today

is the anniversary of the death of

Lisa McPherson

who "died needlessly at the hands of Scientology".

May she truly rest in peace.

They're making it into

media that wouldn't have considered a critical article before. I just shows how they've lost their all-powerful image now that the internet has hit them hard...

Well, he comes out to be like

a petty little Hitler, doesn't he?

Scientology Leader David Miscavige Fed Gourmet Meals Every Few Hours: Australian TV

From all the reports on the 'net, he really is like a little dictator, only more personally violent. I wonder how much of this Mr. Cruise knows, and condones...

I don't think it will hurt him

Oscar-winner Paul Haggis says he gets no joy from Scientology defections

His defection and subsequent article were high profile, but I don't think it will hurt him. Business is business, particularly with Scientologists, and their cult is dwindling every day, despite what they claim...

Nos. 2 and 1 of the top 25

Number 2:
The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 2: David Miscavige

And (drumroll please) .........
NUMBER 1!

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 1: L. Ron Hubbard

(You could have guessed that it would be the drug-addled, drunken criminal science fiction hack, couldn't you?)

Just two more to go after this one

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 3: Marty Rathbun

He's still a practitioner and teacher of 'the Tech' as Scientology calls their process, but he's finally come to see the harm that the current 'church' is doing to both its adherents and its critics...

How can you tell

when a Scientology spokesperson is lying?

Scientology hits back at ex-member claims

His or her lips are moving. (Har, har, har.)

All these ex-Scientologists are coming out telling similar stories and the cult says they're all lying. All of them. Even though the stories are consistent and confirm stories told by others for decades. And they have affidavits? Don't forget that these are the people who have been convicted of infiltrating government offices all over the world, and whose founder's wife went to prison for just that in the U.S.. No, I'll be trusting the stories of the ex-Scientologists, thank you.

This behaviour is part of what the critics have protested for so long. Lying is part of their scriptures. So is anything else (legal or illegal) that can further Scientology. That's part of their scriptures, too. Besides, which other church do you know that has a spy/dirty tricks department like Scientology's OSA?

I have to agree with these choices

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 5: Joe Childs and Tom Tobin
I've read their articles. Very well done and very fair.

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 6: Anonymous
It's been very interesting watching the news articles these folks.

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 7: Mark Bunker
I remember when Dr. Benjamin Wog started posting on alt.religion.scientology, and offering his services to videotape things for people in regards to Scientology. He's certainly been in it for the long run. I like Mark a lot.

I pretty much know who my top 10 are. I'm waiting until the series is finished to see if we agree or not.

This is what

Scientology does.

Former Scientology official arrested in Ingleside on the Bay

They constantly get in a person's face trying to provoke a response so they can play the martyr and harass that individual using the courts. Mr. Rathbun should know how to handle that. This is standard procedure for Scientology. These 'Squirrel Busters' are just volunteers who are willing to do the unethical, immoral or possibly illegal work of Scientology's OSA so their 'church' can remain free of blame. They're really the most disgusting new 'religion' in the world...

You have to really care

about this dangerous cult to read the following:

Thirty-One Factors For Scientologists to Consider

And you have to be able to interpret a certain amount of scientologese to figure out what is being said sometimes. None-the-less, it really gives a picture of a cunning, ruthless sociopath at the helm of this business organization...

(Ignore the fact that the author of the article linked to above still considers the drug-addled science fiction writer, L. Ron Hubbard, to be some kind of genius, concerned about the fate of individuals and not about making himself a millionaire by starting a religion.)

An article

about another new book, this one academically focused, on Scientology...

Hugh Urban: An Interview With the Professor Who Took on Scientology
