It may seem far-fetched, but I've heard some pretty awful things come out of the mouths of right wing people, though most weren't running for public office. Sadly, some were...
"Hundreds of opposition amendments grouped for dozens of votes starting as early as tomorrow night"Elizabeth May, the only Green Party MP. seems to be the only representative truly willing to do what is necessary to try, as difficult as it is, to hold the Mr. Harper's Conservative Government to account for everything that has been stuffed into his Omnibus Budget Bill that has nothing to do with a budget. The Conservatives are using this bill to push through a great deal of its pet ideological changes without oversight and trying to limit debate on the same. What does that mean? Basically, it means that they are trying to subvert the democratic process the same way Mr Harper did when he prorogued Parliament. Mr. Harper has no desire, it seems, to govern democratically, but only wants to have things his way and he will subvert and scheme in order to do that.
" A recent report by Ontario’s police watchdog blasted Toronto police for their use of kettling during the G20 summit two years ago, saying they violated civil rights, detained people illegally and used excessive force."
"According to the whistleblower, a former senior communications manager for ForestEthics named Andrew Frank, the Prime Minister’s Office told Tides Canada they consider ForestEthics to be an “enemy of the Government of Canada” because of the group’s opposition to the Enbridge pipeline and tar sands expansion."So, according to the thinging of the Conservatives in power, Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition would also be considered an 'enemy of the Government of Canada' simply because they disagree. That's really putting things in rather black and white terms. But then, with the changes they are making that favour business and hurt the general population, is there any reason to support them?
"Environment groups 'threaten to hijack' system, natural resources minister says"See that little speck of dust over there? That's the environmental groups. See that huge mountain over there? That's the big oil companies. And that speck of dust is working against the huge mountain. It'll be UFOs next. Harper is losing it more and more. I mean, the rest of the Conservatives in government can't say anything but the words of der führer, so it has to be Harper who is losing it, trying to create conspiracies to create enemies for the public to consume.
