An amazing

and inspirinng story.

Daniel Baumann: Imprisoned in Iran

Did it happen just like that? I don't know, but I have no reason to disbelieve him. A very similar thing happened in the book of Acts, so why not?

Thank goodness

that our God is big enough to deal with this sort of evil-intentioned act Himself without having to charge us to go and kill the offenders...

Iran Christians Jailed, Bibles “Burned”

...unlike the god or prophet or whoever of their faith, who seems so easily hurt that he needs to be helped out violently all the time by his followers...

It is ironic...

Another human-rights irony at the U.N.

"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad campaigned in Uganda and Zimbabwe. Behind the scenes, his flunkies twisted arms and offered favors."
But isn't all of life? (Joke!)

The Iranian government

is a truly evil institution...

Iran reformist Mousavi's nephew 'got death threats'

"The nephew of Iran's opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi was threatened days before he was killed in Sunday's protests, a prominent supporter says."
...made evil by the Islamists and extremist murderers who make it up...

Well,

I'ved nothing to say but that I hope, and pray, for her safety.

Turkey considers fate of detained Iran Raelian leader

"The Turkish authorities say they are discussing what to do with an Iranian atheist who says she fled persecution in Iran."

This is something

this is the sort of thing that should raise the ire of any person with a touch of common sense and compassion.

Iran Releases Christian Women From Jail

Of course, if a Christian country imprisoned (or executed) individuals who converted from Christianity to Islam you can be assured that every Islamic country in the world would be up in arms (and I mean that almost literally).

Such barbarians...

Great.

Now the military and the whole country is being whipped up by their apocalyptic Muslim leader.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Calls Muslims To Prepare For ‘Savior’

This is just what the world needs. One really has get tired of these relgious extremists who try to hasten the end of the world by killing everyone who disagrees with them. That'll bring about the end of the world, alright...

Can you imagine

if this were done to Iranian embassy staff in England? There would be suicide bombers everywhere.

British embassy staff in Iran may face trial

These politicians, still living in the 12th century, are thumbing their noses at the West intentionally. The world believes (with good reason) that the election was rigged. They just don't care who knows, and they'll make a show of force to punish people to show that to criticize them is dangerous...

Sure...I'll believe him

Clashes in Iran reveal deep divide

"Ahmadinejad told a crowd of tens of thousands of supporters Sunday that Iran's elections are "the soundest, the healthiest of their kind." And he told reporters his country had a free press, and people "can say whatever they like.""
You have the freedom to say what you like, and his supporters, followers, and police have the freedom to beat you to death. Simple. Freedoms work both way, I guess. I believe him...

A film...

...of the kind that everyone needs to see, but many people wouldn't be able to handle.

Evil, In the Name of God

The last time I remember walking out of a film in this sort of stunned silence was when I went with a friend to see Schindler's List. I wasn't stunned by the story of the change in Oskar Schindler or by his courageous decisions, but by the brutality and complete evil of the Nazis and by their atrocities. Being confronted by evil at work has a way of stunning one into speechlessness...

I certainly hope so!

Iranian president urges full defence for jailed U.S. journalist

They're beginning to recognize that they're on the world stage and that, if push came to shove, they might not win a serious dispute. How can they behave so badly on one hand and then make statements like this? Of course, they could simply be window dressing. The issue may already be decided and the trial may just be a farce.

If this were Cuba there'd be a continued blockade or perhaps even military intervention. Because we get oil from these people, well, behaviour has to be different.

And insulting religious figures being a crime? I'm off to bedlam...

Good for them

Walkout at Iran leader's speech

What disgusting behaviour. How can a body like the U.N. even let someone like him speak? It's like inviting Hitler to speak on the eve of WW II. We can never let a fanaticly anti-Israeli nation like this have nuclear weapons...

He has a point...

Netanyahu to Obama: Stop Iran—Or I Will

"You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs. When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, and that is what is happening in Iran."
Can you imagine if the Aum group had had a nuclear weapon instead of Sarin gas? Well, Iran having nuclear weapons is many, many, many times worse...

A quotation...

from Sojourner's SojoMail:

"Why doesn't Iran have an Obama?" - Headline on the cover of the Iranian weekly news magazine Shahrvand-e Emrouz (Today’s Citizen) that was banned shortly thereafter by Iran’s Press Supervisory Board for featuring this message with a smiling photograph of the U.S. president-elect. (Source: The Times)
Someone has just lost their freedom in Iran...

They've never left

the 12th Century.

Hanged for being a Christian in Iran

"Eighteen years ago, Rashin Soodmand's father was hanged in Iran for converting to Christianity. Now her brother is in a Mashad jail, and expects to be executed under new religious laws brought in this summer. Alasdair Palmer reports."
I'll never understand this religion, a religion that expects to be given every consideration and respect for their beliefs and yet has no consideration or respect for others and their beliefs. If Western countries were to enact laws like theirs, but against them, there would be no end to the tirades against the West, but it's alright for them to do it to others. It's madness, and they are madmen...

Have mercy on him, Lord, bless him and set him free.

Getting angry at the wrong people

Haleh Esfandiari

We just have to pray that those people who are illegally detained in the Iranian jails aren't murdered by the zealous Muslim captors, who seem to think that killing in the name of their God and Prophet is a good and holy thing.
