Well, I've always felt that actors are liars, which is why people should never take their opinions seriously. I mean, these people get paid to convincingly pretend that they're someone else. Why would one trust them?

But what about the other arts?

Free countries might criticize government media control and disinformation in some 'non-free' countries, but at least it is visible there. Here it is done in a way that we don't see unless we have 'investigative journalists' of our own. The easiest thing to do is not believe any of them.

'The New Theological Movement' is really the Old Theological Movement. Is that a lie I see there?

At any rate, again, it's the comments that are the most interesting. Watching the back and forth of the conservative Traditionalists (the law is supreme!) vs. the liberals (can't we insert some love in here somewhere?) is quite engaging. And the Traditionalists are bringing back all the usual arguments of 'mental reservation', etc. (For certain, Thomism is not dead, that I know!) in defence of what they couldn't honestly defend, I think, given their position.

So. Undercover police work is sinful, as is acting. I'm glad that's cleared up. You've been told.

Non-believing clergy: Now what shall we do?

One of the major themes in Christianity is honesty, along with a second, integrity. How can one receive the real Gospel, the Word of God, if the preacher is either unwilling to preach the full extent of it or does, but is compromising their own beliefs by doing so. In essence, lying to their congregations? Which of their words are you able to trust, then?

I know that fear of unemployment is a very real fear, but it's something that other people face, what makes ministers and clergy so different, so special? It would be a difficult, difficult thing, no doubt...
