I don't think


for a moment that those who follow the Prosperity Gospel aren't sincere.

Creflo Dollar's Prosperity Gospel finds followers and critics

Like any group there are going to be people following for the wrong reason.


"The focus is on getting right with God, but you know that when you get right with God, you're going to get something for it."
I'm not at all certain that it is prosperity that you're going to get. I would think that you might pick salvation as the first gift.

Mind you, I'm a Franciscan, and our Father Francis didn't really put much stock in 'stuff'. I'll try to follow his lead...

Is there ever a pile of issues here! Like other ministers railing against all things gay, it seems he's a bit conflicted about the issue himself. Now it's going to cost him his prosperity. Permanent alimony, at that end of the pay scale, will likely be quite a bit, particularly if he's losing his following...

These prosperity gospel preachers preach 'another gospel' and not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many people have written about this in the past, and I've blogged about it quite often. Some of these people may have started out fine, but lost their way. Others may have been out to 'fleece' the flock right from the start.

I have a great deal of respect for Ole Anthony for the work he does...
