Meeting Jesus at Oxford

"Why are undergraduates at Britain's oldest and most respected universities more likely to undergo conversion to fundamentalist forms of Christianity than other students?"

On the weekend

I was at one of our local hospitals where I volunteer in Spiritual Care and as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion. It's a busy day and there's lots of people to see, visit and bring our Lord to in the Eucharist. I love doing it. We start by stopping in to the office which is attached to the sacristy in the chapel in the hospital, and we end with finishing paperwork in there when we're done. The point is that we're always in the chapel during our shifts at some point. I found this in the chapel this weekend:

Someone's once again trying to tell the Catholics that they're not saved, though a military Chick comic is somewhat out of place. I've always been fascinated by the extreme anti-catholic focus of his publications, his very simple theology and his cartoonish, yet sometimes graphic comics. He's a very curious person...

Bishop: Catholic church 'under attack' from fundamentalists

A good article

The Nightmare World of Jack T. Chick

About the rabid anti-Catholic fundamentalist, Jack Chick. You must have seen his little comics at some time. This article discusses his 'ministry' and mission quite well.

It appears

that is any scientific theory or idea has any remote connection to species survival It's a target at this museum, along with science itself. I'm surprised that they're not flat-earth theorists as well.
