I've never watched the program. I'm not much into reality shows. I do know that there's a huge line of Duck Dynasty 'Faith' products for sale at one of our Christian book stores that caters to the Evangelical and Mennonite groups. They're really setting the bar for Christian violence.

There's a certain irony here

No re-election bid for NC pol who shot intruder

"North Carolina's longest-serving state senator won't seek re-election next year as he faces possible criminal charges over a shooting at his home in August."

The irony, which isn't obvious in the article, is that I find from other sites that Rep. Soles is apparently a rather vigorous advocate of gun control.

...but the reality is that the law is designed to protect the accused and make the job of the police and the courts as difficult as possible. It's a fact in our sad, sad world, that the innocent always pay with their blood while the guilty are inconvenienced by the courts...
