Occupy Wall Street

but NOT in my back yard!

What would Jesus occupy?

A short (13 photos), but very good slideshow accompanied by appropriate text, that shows the timeline...

While some people consider the 'Occupy' movement a failure, I think it got some people thinking, and involved, who would not have been involved normally. It's too bad that, like so many protest movements, it was so scattered and broad in its focus. Along with the 'tax the rich' people there were the usual 'free the gay baby whales' people and everything else. It just makes too many people desire not to participate... (that and laziness and lack of concern, and too much concern for the status quo, and fear, and...)

Who knows all the issues here?

Santa Cruz's 'Red Church' minister certain he'll keep his job: Father Joel Miller still under fire for handling of homeless outreach

Who's right and who's wrong? What's the whole story? There seems to be a lot missing here, things we're not seeing. I wonder, too, how much of this might be a 'not in my back yard' reaction?

Trying to act as Jesus would act doesn't always garner a great deal of support, too.
