I love listening and reading the statements made by the U.S. Right about the current health care reform. They make Ebenezer Scrooge look like a far-left liberal...
Which brings us to the extreme knee-jerk Right reactions on the issue, especially the second one...
The scaremongers are now suggesting that allowing the President enact his bill will the the first step to euthanasia of the elderly. What they won't do to fight what they hate ideologically...

The rage against *ulp* Canadian style healthcare in the USA makes me very very sad. While there are flaws in our system, and most of them have to do with top heavy bureacracy - I'm happy to know my taxes ensure that working poor, kids and people on fixed incomes get the health care they need rather than the health care they can afford. Makes me feel like the whole culture is a little bit healthier...even though I know there is lots of room for improvement.
