AP Exclusive: Exodus as pope's Legion reform lags
I would have thought that the Vatican would work more quickly to make changes to fix the issues that were left by the system set up by Maciel. particularly in such a public, scandalous situation. Perhaps they're hoping that the situation will fix itself when everyone has left and there's no one left to belong to the Legion?
