This date saw,

in 1943, the start of the desperate, and courageous,

Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

I have read, as a result of years of interest and study in Jewish studies, a great deal about the Jewish people during the Second World War. My reaction is not any different than most people's, I suspect, but I can't help but think of the courage of so many people, and about the brutality and inhumanity of others. It's something we can never forget...
