"Startled by the power of placebos, doctors consider how to use them as real treatment"I say more power to them. It's been long known that the placebo effect is real, and that all illnesses have some sort of psychological component. The body may well be tricked into defending itself against illness, as well. It doesn't mean that a person is mentally ill or anything. (As long as the pharmaceutical companies don't start getting in on the placebo 'sugar pill' drug patent to continue making obscene profits off the backs of those least able to afford the prices...)
