An interesting introspective article

about the Religious Right's blind side...

The Blind Side of the Religious Right

The author is being charitable, I believe, based on his own personal beliefs, and assuming that most of the religious right were also not focusing on these things through accident, and not intentionally ignoring them.

I'd like to see an article by someone who identifies with the religious right on how the religious right can champion the cause of the unborn, but ignore the care of people after birth and, in some cases, champion the death penalty as well. I've always been mystified as to how some people can fight for the right to life from conception to birth and then take a 'survival of the fittest' approach to life after birth...
