Thanks for passing on this beautiful and touching photo.
I'm also in Ashkelon and I have 22 street cats (that I have had spayed and neutered), that I feed, apart from my own 7 (all rescued).
There are many kind people in Ashkelon feeding street cats, and yes, strangely enough, many of them are Russian immigrants.
We are encouraging them to get "their" street cats spayed. Financing such an operation is always a problem.
