it will likely only make him more popular...Letterman is target of the kind of jokes he tells
I don't watch much television, but I gave up watching Letterman many years ago. He started his shows off well, but as he became more popular he started having guests on that were just normal, average everyday people, who had an unusual hobby or did something quite different. They were generally happy with what they did, and very proud of it, and Letterman would work as hard as he could to humiliate them. Ridiculing them in order to make jokes. I couldn't stand it any longer and never watched his show again...
