Politicians

in Connecticut appear to be trying to get their way by taking over the Catholic Church. So much for Church/State separation. I guess this separation only exists when it suits them...

Catholics across the State of Connecticut mobilize to fight the irrational, unlawful, and bigoted Proposed Bill #1098/2009

Legislative Attack on Catholic Church in Connecticut

I guess if just laws don't serve their purposes, unjust laws will work just as well. I think government interference, despite the claims of separation, will only get worse as politicians try to control things for their own interests.

(And, it should be pointed out, that just as many if not more politicians have been convicted of serious crimes as have catholic priests. Pot, kettle, black.)
