Ah! Christmas!

We had our normal, low-key Christmas. Dear Sonje came in for dinner. She's my oldest and best friend, and it's always a special occasion when she can join SWMBO and I for a visit. We also had a new friend over, Jorje, who has recently (like, within the past week) moved to the city. He was involved in the Franciscan community in another city and was given our contact information in order to get involved here. A native of Chile, he was perfectly confortable with SWMBO's wonderful choices of curried dishes for supper. She's such a talented chef. We don't do the traditional Christmas supper as Sonje is vegetarian and there's no way on earth the two of us want to eat turkey for six weeks after Christmas supper.

So. An old friend, and a new friend. There was lots of interesting conversation, and laughter, and pleasure experienced by everyone, I think. Another Christmas that expressed the true meaning of Christmas - love and joy in each other's company. I had such a good time!

I hope we can have many more good times like this. It really was good and I really enjoyed the evening...
