I still argue

that as much as people try to make it an issue, or the issue, abortion is really a non-issue as far as the election is concerned.

Despite quite a few years of conservative governments in both Canada and the U.S. nothing has been done to change the laws regarding abortion. Politicians, while giving one side or the other lip service, won't do anything to upset the status quo because of the political ramifications. What they really want to do is get elected, then re-elected. Touching abortion laws is almost an automatic defeat...
