Border guards told to stop U.S. church fanatics
They do need to be stopped from spreading their hatred of anything not-Phelps. If you want to see them and their examples of their thinking just take a look at the films on YouTube. For some reason they think that their rights are of a greater value than the rights of others. I guess that's what happens when you've got a direct line to God.
Here's the Anti-Defamation League's webpage on Fred Phelps.
This website states that:

"Phelps says he is an old school Baptist, which includes John Calvin’s doctrine of unconditional election, the belief that God has elected certain people for salvation before birth. He says that almost nobody is a member of the elect, and furthermore that he and the members of his congregation (mostly his family) are the only members of the elect, because they are the only ones not afraid to publish the current relevant application of the word of God — in particular, that "God hates fags."'"which contradicts their behaviour. If they're the only elect who will be saved, then why is it necessary to picket and spread their hate the way they do?
This website explains quite a bit more of Fred Phelp's history.
All in all, quite a group. It will be interesting to see their response to being blocked from coming into Canada...
