I think it only shows respect

New Mass dress code seen as reasonable to some, unacceptable to others

Before anyone gets all worked up, this is in the Philipines. I think it's a good idea, though. Some of the things I've seen in church have been closer to scandalous than worshipful. We're becoming a casual culture. I notice office workers dressing more casual in recent years and people are showing up a weddings and funerals, usually two places of respectful formal dress, are wearing jeans with their cowboy boots and pearl-button shirts while the too-short tank-top for women seems to be standard. This casualness is disturbing.
