the judge that would stand up to President Bush's attempts to subvert justice as he has. This, however, now puts the case of Omar Khadr in some sort of limbo. I'm not attempting to paint Mr. Khadr as anything but a combatant in Iraq, but President Bush's attempts to label anyone and anything as 'terrorist' and then impose a different justice, one without due process, is criminal in itself.

My Dear Dan asked me once "what is the difference between a Freedom Fighter and an Insurgent?
The only answer I could come up with was "A Freedom Fighter is on our side."
That said, fighting against someone who is invading your country does not a terrorist make. I don't offer any apologies for Mr Khader either, but he should not have been treated as anything but a "prisoner of war".
Absolutely true, Morganor. As many people have pointed out, given George W. Bush Jr.'s definition of terrorist, everyone who fought the War of Independence leading to the formation of the United States of America should have been condemned as terrorists and their names should live in infamy in history. It's all a matter of perspective, and of winning. Dubya only has one of those things on his side right now. :-)
