A good decision, I guess

Vatican reverses Kennedy ruling

<rant>There was so much controversy at the time as to how he 'bought' the annulment and if he did it was totally wrong. What bothers me the most now though is the gloating I'm reading on the 'net, mainly from the young generation of fervent Catholics, who seem to think that this proves that the Church's annulment process is wrong altogether. Anyone who has gone through the annulment process in an honest and prayerful manner knows how difficult it is. These young people really should wait until they get a bit of experience in life before they pontificate about that of which they really know nothing.</rant>

Joe Kennedy's First Marriage: Still On

A niggling little bit here, though. Time says that she found out about the 'de-sanctification' of their marriage in 1996. The Church doesn't 'de-sanctify' marriages, they only declare them 'null', that is, a valid marriage never took place. Sadly, the media hardly ever gets anything right when it comes to detail about the Catholic Church.
