Ian Boyd, CSB, the founder, editor and driving force behind the Chesterton Review taught English at the university here for many years before being assigned somewhere else and was a friend of mine. If you're interested in Chesteron, the Chesterton Review is really worthwhile reading.
(Fr. Boyd is an interesting man. He was addicted to cycling. He was riding his trusty 10-speed with its narrow tires all Winter long, long before the advent of mountain bikes and safer tires. He rode huge distances between cities. You never knew where he was going to turn up next. I miss him. He was a very nice man.)

Yeah, I lived with Fr. Boyd c.s.b for 2 years. I think about him very often. He is such a funny, intelligent and holy man.
