*Sigh*

I've seen other reports of this in recent news items. This type of thing is beginning to look like the 'abuse scandal' of 2007:

Amid Accounting Inquiry, a Greenwich Pastor Resigns

Sadly, when it involves money the Bishops seem far less likely to try to hide it. What does that say?

At the risk of being really obvious, it seems that the purse is more valuable than the people who they are supposed to guide and protect.

As you know, James, I am not a Catholic, and not even a Christian. However, I do know that regardless of the scandals that have rocked the church of late, there is goodness at the heart of it. I know also that regardless of those who have betrayed both the trust of the church and it's members, there are good people in the Church.

May all that is Holy bless and keep them, because now more than ever, the Church needs them.

Amen! (And thanks for your fairness and understanding. I always appreciate your attitude and your comments Morgana. And we miss you out here in the wilds of the prairies!)
