I received

my catalogue from

 Trappist Caskets

last week, just a week or so after I requested it. Very quick service, indeed!

I'm interested in the simplest burial possible when it is my time. I already have my gravesite picked out and paid for, though I don't have the opening and closing fees paid yet. SWMBO may have to take care of that. I have found a great casket, though, in this catalogue. It's very simple, plain pine with no adornment, and listed at $1,000 US, which, if you know anything about funeral costs, is quite reasonable. This will certainly bear more thought. The idea of having a simple box, but one with old-world craftsmanship, and supporting a work of the monks at the same time, is very attractive.

They even sent a keepsake cross, blessed by the monks. That is just wonderful!
