More sadness in Norway

Polar bear kills British tourist in Norway

"A polar bear has mauled a young British tourist to death and seriously injured four others in the Arctic."
Would this have made the news if the earlier tragedy hadn't occured in Norway, I wonder?

It's so very sad, on both fronts. Sad for the death and injuries of people who were holidaying in a natural setting, and sad for the killing of a polar bear who was just doing what polar bears do in nature. There's a lot of stress on animals in the North with their loss of habitat (We're doing that. Humans.) and I hope that this doesn't lead to an attempt to remove the risk by killing more of these animals that we're encroaching upon...

Please pray for everyone involved, and their families, for peace, comfort and healing...
