I met Mr. Blakeney quite a number of times, both during his public life as a politician as well as during his retirement. He was unfailingly a kind and intelligent man, interested more in you than in anything else. That epitomizes his political life as well. He was more interested in the welfare of the province and country than in getting anything for himself. A truly good man and great political leader.
