I would think this is true

Tech addiction symptoms rife among students

You can joke all you want about it but the truth is that the younger generation really does have to be connected all the time. Now that driving and talking on a cell phone is illegal here (though some fools still engage in the activity) I see people park their cars and grab their cell phones to check messages before they even take their seat belts off. The world would stop turning if they weren't connected all the time.

Don't get me wrong, I use technology too. I've been on the internet since, well, since before there was an internet. The old mil-net/arpanet days. But I didn't grow up with this sort of connectivity, so I don't need it and, honestly, I often look forward to not engaging in using it. I relish a day without a telephone.

I'm going to reproduce one of the comments. I agree with the sentiments, if not with the presentation:

"Ha Ha ----I think it's hilarious! Sheeple and their spoilt rotten "silicone" brats! The human species is doomed. These morons should be focusing their attention and energies into making the planet a better, healthier place for them to inherit. No wonder the focus in not on the environment. They are all little addicts....addicted to the sounds of their own voices. It's the "all about me" generation and the greedy, polluting corporations are EATING IT UP!."
A generalization, but so is this - as in most generations, it really is all about them. The difference with this generation is that their parents, for pretty much the first time, were huge enablers...
