And what becomes of the poor believers when it doesn't come to pass? I say 'when' rather than 'if' because it has been predicted so frequently and it has never happened (as far as we're aware, that is). That makes lack of correct prediction more frequent, yes? Predictions have been based on prophecy, on scripture interpretation, on 'personal revelation', on many things. Personally, I don't think God wants us to know.
