
Big boss, big pay

They get paid enormous sums for weathering the bad years, or for taking part in creating the bad years (see the Wall Street and sub-prime mortgage banking scandals as examples) and then they get even larger bonuses when the economy is good. And, as the article explains, a lot of it is underwritten by the taxpayer.
