The new reality

And a new word in the lexicon...

staycation

I'm certainly disgusted by our culture (I'm telling you if you hadn't already guessed that). People are talking about not going away for vacations because of the cost. In my life and experience it's been more normal not to go away anywhere on vacation because my lifestyle and income didn't allow it anyway. People have driven themselves into debt in order to do the vacation thing. Now, also disgustingly, there is a new type of entrepreneur out there who plan staycations! There's a business person for everything, I think, and it certainly partly explains why it's so hot in here and what we're doing in this handbasket. Now we need someone to plan our time when we stay home. I'm off to Bedlam...
