We can't

go very long without turning on our furnace in the Winter. When the thermometer dips to -39C the furnace has to be on.

Households take up challenge to be chilly

SWMBO and I have always kept our home cold, though. We like it that way. When the fellow came to give us an estimate on a new furnace (which we chose to do so we have a new one now, while the Canadian Gov't is giving assistance to purchase it) the first thing he said was 'do you always keep the house this cold?' thinking the furnace wasn't working and that's why we were buying a new one. People at work think I'm crazy because I keep my office as cold as it is...
