to try to justify a false gospel message...Passions over 'prosperity gospel': Was Jesus wealthy?
I'd personally prefer to trust the opinions of the academics who have studied the lives lived by the people of that time rather than the opinions of those who make their living (and a VERY prosperous one at that) based on getting others to contribute to them...
