I believe that some appearances of the Virgin Mary have been legitimate. While the local Bishop (2nd link) of the site below (1st link), has lifted the ban on various things surrounding the belief in the apparition, I still have a couple of questions.

Lipa bishop lifts ban on ‘Our Lady’
Why, in her first appearance, as listed in the first link, would our lady say 'Kiss the ground.' and 'Eat some grass, my child.'? The first may be because she wanted to have the Sister acknowledge her greatness, but doesn't that fly in the face of the belief in Mary as meek, mild and humble? That may be a simple portrayal of her that has been wrong all these centuries, I admit. Still, isn't the second thing just plain weird? Eat some grass? Is that a euphemism for 'kiss the ground' or something?
