R.I.P. - Captain Lou Albano

I don't know, I'm kind of touched by this article...

Captain Lou Albano, "Nice Italian Boy"

"Recollections of mass and Sunday brunch with the professional wrestling legend"
It's not because of his tied-up beard (I kind of like that), it's not because of his rubber band facial piercings (that's just... odd!) and it's not because of his wrestling prowess (I hate pro wrestling). It's probably because of his nice, normal Catholic faith and (I'm somewhat chagrined to admit) because he was the collborator with Cyndi Lauper, who, I've always felt, darn it, had more talent than Madge but wasn't as good of a promoter of her talent.

Here's an obituary : Captain Lou Albano Dies at 76

And here's his Wikipedia article: Lou Albano

But maybe it's just my sympathetic nature making me feeling melancholy.

Rest in peace, Mr. Albano...
