Silent Servants...

... of the Used, Abused, and Utterly Screwed Up.

A Secular Franciscan looks at the world...

In its wisdom,

and according to its very detailed, specific and precise rules, the Catholic Church has canonized a modern saint. A very holy and courageous man...

Saint Damien of Molokai

"Word of Saint Damien’s heroic labors among the lepers on Molokai quickly spread after his death."
This is a very well-written and accurate book about St Damien's life, written by Mia Farrow's father, John Farrow:

Damien the Leper

(You might be able to tell that I have a very great admiration and devotion to St. Damien. Most likely because he's the courageous, loving and giving person I've always wanted to be but can't make the necessary connection to the Holy to be that person, so I live vicariously, admiring others...)
