catastrophic (in keeping with the usual conspiracy/unusual event theorists in our culture) supposed to happen today? I only ask as it's 09/09/09 today, as far as the date's concerned.There is at least one auspicous thing happening today.

Hey I just found out - it was supposed to be 'Day without Cats' Imagine! Thanx to lolcats for the information. Fortunately it failed and hence cats are not responding with a "Day without pinkies" that and opposable thumbs equals our greatest security ;-)
I don't think they'd like a 'Day without pinkies'. Who would open the cat food can or turn the tap on for drinks for them?
No, they wouldn't boycott their servants...
