I've only read books in two of the series he writes, the Nightside novels and the Secret History series. Personally, I enjoy the Nightside novels a bit more, but perhaps I just haven't spent enough time with the others. His novels, dark, dark fantasy, are an acquired taste, and I'm certain that not everyone would find them to their liking. I enjoy them a lot. I like to think of them as a very, very, very dark and nasty Discworld - with no insult or offense meant to Terry Pratchett, who is a brilliant writer and one of my favourite authors.
