I just finished

another novel in the Nightside Series by Simon R. Green. This novel is called Hex and the City. (I should note here that any link to a book at Amazon is not a promotion of Amazon nor a recommendation that you buy it from them. I receive no money from click-throughs to Amazon from any post on this blog. They're for infornation only.)

This is book 4 in the series. The last one I read was the 7th book in the series. Even though they hold their own as novels and the author works hard to make sure that reading them out of order doesn't allow them to stand alone, there then adds the requirement for lots of back story and fill in material. Still, the author adds new characters, principalities and powers to the novel while fleshing out more of the old. There is going to be an end to the series, apparently, and that seems evident from the way the books have been progressing. Whatever the case, this was a fun read, and one that I will come back to again (my plan is to read them all in order next time. Quite the ambition!)
