Why is this even a news item?

MySpace, Facebook users at Vatican hit firewalls

One employee says "Given the Vatican's foul-up with communication in the past, (the online networking ban) shows they haven't learned their lesson,". What, they've not learned their lesson that they should let people waste their time at work on these social networking sites while at work? The Vatican is just doing what a good number of corporations all over the world do, and should do. Some Vatican employee is just giving expression to their loss of access to their intertube dependency. I find it unlikely that most of the Cardinals in the Vatican even have Facebook newsfeeds...
