An interesting article. I do wonder about the use of 'invisible' microphones in all churches now, though. (I wondered about this when I saw the young preacher's in the articles accompanying photograph.) Our parish was built 100 years ago, before microphones. The priests did fine, in fact, some did better than fine, given the fact that the parish is a Redemptorist parish, who main mission is preaching and missions in parishes. The church building was designed with that in mind. Now, something is driving the use of microphones and sound systems, so much so that the beautiful old church might have to have something, like sound panels or suspended fabric, installed to allow the use of new microphones and a new sound system. Because...?
