But, the attorney representing the police, who said this:

"If his goal was to attempt to stop the perceived harassment of the Hispanic community in East Haven by the police department, why didn't he go to the mayor's office?"

is either living in another world or is grasping at straws trying to get the police off the hook. If all it took to end harassment is to go to the mayor's office there wouldn't be any harassment in the world. Just another lawyer doing his job, as distasteful as it might be...
