Today

is a new holiday here. The government decided that the period between New Year's and whenever Easter may fall was too long. This is especially true in an area that experiences extremely cold weather for long months at a time. We need a bit of a break.

This holiday is 'Family Day'. Nice that they're encouraging family things. It seems that there's precious little time in culture today for families to be together. I hope that people take advantage of it.
