In so many of his attempts to appoint a cabinet, President Obama is stymied by the non-payment of taxes of his appointees. People seem to take this white-collar crime in stride, as if it isn't important, but it is. It's important because it shows just how much contempt the people have for the law and how much they think that this little white-collar crime isn't important. It shows just how far their ethics really extend. And these are the Democrats who pretend to be concerned for the people. All the time they're more concerned about themselves. I guess it's the hope that people like this man will be appointed, but it's too much to hope for. It seems that they're so few and far betwen. It's disheartening, but not surprising.
I've always believed that the very act of running for political office makes people compromise their principles, no matter how fair and high-minded they are. In order to get elected people have to say things and promise things that they know that they can't deliver on and that they know aren't true. They compromise their principles before they even start serving. Is it really such a far fall from there to disgrace?
