While some people consider that he did what he did to get better production from his workers others see him as a 'kinder, gentler, capitalist. Truth be told, I think he was in the second category for the most part. His kind actions helped his production, but he considered his employees far more as people to be treated well than the businessmen of the times did, or as they do now, in truth. His is an interesting story...
