Outer Space Treaty
I'm reminded, in a way, of an old Bill Cosby skit.
What if there really is intelligent life out there? And what if this intelligent life is thinking (about our international space law) 'no you don't, either'? I guess you had to be there. The upshot is that I'm continually astonished at humankind's arrogance...
(This is where I might recommend that you read the book I'm currently reading, Moon Flower. Good book, and highly appropriate...)
