Obama tries to gain distance from Ill. governor

"Investigation comes at inopportune time and could involve him"There will be nothing but attempts by the media and the Republicans and their supporters and hired professionals to smear the name of President-elect Obama in any way they can.
American politics is a funny animal. Instead of trying to support the person elected the opponents do all they can to make that person's job and time in the position almost untenable. Really, I mean, good grief, they're still blaming Bill Clinton for everything that's wrong in the U.S. even though he's been out of office for years and all he did (disgusting though it was) was lie about having an affair. He didn't lie about 'weapons of mass destruction' to get his country into a war that has taken far, far too many lives. He didn't let the economy tank, he didn't push the U.S. into such debt that it'll be a miracle if they survive. He didn't make his country into what amounts to a laughingstock in the 'global village'. Such a skewed perspective...
