SWMBO, a friend and I

watched the election returns on CBC last night. This is something that Sonje (our friend) and I had done many times in the past, over quite a number of years. It's been some time since we've done this and she suggested that we get together again to watch. As she commented last night, it's just way more fun to rant with another person present.

Anyway, given the way the election was bound to turn out, the results were the best we could expect. The only good thing now is that there's precious little chance of Mr. Harper being willing to compromise at all to govern a minority government. As he's shown in the past, it's his way or no way. So, we can expect another 300 million dollar election 2 years from now at the latest, or he's going to walk away from the position. Personally, I hope it's the second, but if it's the first, that's ok, too, as more and more people are getting upset at his flagrant spending of our tax money along with his acting like a little dictator. Even with the Liberals imploding Mr. Harper couldn't pull off a majority. I hope this spells the end. Time will tell...
