I don't generally blog about this kind of thing. Still.

Take a look at these two photos from the series 'The Tudors'. Everyone knows that, more and more, prime time television is becoming, or has been for some time, a wasteland. I used to respect CBC, and I still do for some programming, but when I see photographs like these advertising a series, I have to shake my head. They're always using sex and youth to sell the programs, that's the norm now. I look at the characters, their hairstyles, the costumes, and they way they display themselves and say 'The Tudors'? Yeah, right. 'The Tudors 90210' is more like it.

Historical authenticity once again falls victim to the need to sell a prime-time soap opera...
