It really is the communities that are re-examining their mission and reclaiming their heritage that are experiencing growth. I think that one thing that disappeared after Vatican II, and which had a devastating effect on the religious communities, was the loosening of discipline and allowing people to do what they wanted rather than what was good for their community and the Church...
